James joined AMR in 2007 after graduating from the University of Arkansas Fay Jones School of Architecture with a Bachelor of Architecture and a minor in Italian. A dedicated resident of downtown Little Rock, he is deeply invested in the evolution of urban environments and has spearheaded numerous design projects that shape the local skyline.
A Historic Milestone: James holds a significant place in the state’s professional landscape as the 8th African American Architect in Arkansas history. This distinction informs his perspective on community-centric design and his commitment to the architectural heritage of the region.
From Vision to Reality: James’s diverse portfolio spans the entire design lifecycle—from initial development and marketing to schematic design and construction administration.
