Kate joined the AMR team in 2005 while working on her degree in interior design. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Lake Forest College in 2005, and a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from the University of Central Arkansas in 2006. Her lifelong experience in the fine arts translates directly into her valuable intuitions as an interior designer. Kate works on projects from inception to completion including space planning, finish selections, furniture specifications, artwork, and signage. Her ability to communicate and collaborate with team members on all aspects of projects is essential to a smooth and amicable relationship with contractors, owners, and consultants. This working relationship has led to 18 years of satisfied, repeat clients.
Adam Day is a skilled project manager and designer with experience on a variety of complex project types. As a 2008 Graduate of the University of Arkansas Fay Jones School of Architecture, Adam spent his early career working throughout the state before moving to Chicago in 2011. He returned to Arkansas in 2013 and joined AMR Architects in 2014. Adam's passion for design and the urban environment make him a great addition to the firm. Exceptionally skilled in advanced computer software, he is also in charge of developing and managing information systems for the company. Adam's leadership extends beyond the firm where he is the current Associate Director for the AIA Arkansas Chapter.
James joined AMR after graduating from the University of Arkansas Fay Jones School of Architecture in 2007 with a Bachelor of Architecture, and minor emphasis in Italian. As a resident of downtown Little Rock, James is particularly interested in urban environments, and has led a number of design projects in the area. James’s experience have afforded him the opportunity to work on all facets of design, from development and marketing, to schematic design through construction administration. In recent years, James has had a focus in urban residential and hospitality design. Working directly with developers and city boards, James has experience in what it takes to move a project from a client’s vision to reality.
Heather is a licensed architect responsible for coordination and production in all phases of a project from concept design through construction. She is experienced in a variety of project types including higher education, health care, civic and residential. She holds a BA in Graphic Design from Arkansas Tech University and a Master of Architecture from Texas A&M University. Heather is passionate about placemaking and community development, and currently serves as a board member of both studioMAIN and the Architecture + Design Network. She also actively volunteers with several other community-focused organizations and initiatives, including AIA Arkansas, Create Little Rock, Think Big Little Rock, and Pop Up in the Rock. She was the recipient of the 2017 AIA Arkansas Emerging Professional Award, and was honored as one of Little Rock Soiree Magazine’s 2017 “Women to Watch”.
Jacob is a licensed architect who has worked in Little Rock for more than 20 years as a project manager, designer, and detailer. He has contributed to many project types including child care, primary education, corporate, health care, civic, and residential. He also had the opportunity to teach architecture at a local high school for 5 years, where he enjoyed getting to share his passion for design with high school students. He earned a Professional Bachelors of Architecture from Louisiana Tech University. Jacob considers it a significant responsibility to be entrusted with making spaces where people live, learn, and work. His career has been focused around making highly functional, high quality spaces within the limitations of budget and constructability. Through this, he has developed unique technical knowledge around using typical building techniques to design and detail interesting and useful buildings.
Kyle earned his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Arkansas in May 2015. While attending the Fay Jones School of Architecture, he was able to expand his architectural knowledge by studying abroad in Rome, Italy and through extensive travel in the United States and Europe. In addition, he has contributed freelance design work for Marlon Blackwell Architects and deMx Architecture while in college. After graduating, Kyle returned home to Little Rock to embark on his professional career with AMR Architects with the central focus to create innovative architecture that enhances the surrounding urban fabric and beyond. Through his years of experience at AMR Architects, Kyle has fine tuned his skills on a wide range of diverse projects, including mixed-use developments, hospitality, corporate, higher education, and multi-family housing. As a skilled designer and detailer, he assists with the production of construction drawings, construction administration, and compelling illustrations for AMR’s clients to help them make decisions and raise funds for projects. In addition, he is also a FAA licensed UAS pilot, experienced in aerial photography and photogrammetry. In his spare time, Kyle shares a passion for the craft of model making. His most renowned work is an award-winning site model exhibit and detailed scaled replica of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Bachman Wilson House on permanent display at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville, Arkansas.
Caroline joined the AMR team in May of 2017 after earning her Bachelor of Science in Interior Design degree from Mississippi State University. While in school, Caroline interned with the Planning Design and Construction Administration Department on Mississippi State’s campus where she worked as an ADA Transition Plan Intern to help bring the campus up to code with ADA guidelines. After graduation, Caroline moved to Little Rock to kick off her professional career and expand her knowledge of urban environments through the work of AMR. Through her years of experience, Caroline has honed her skills working on diverse projects, including hospitality, corporate, mixed-use developments, higher education and multi-family housing. She assists with producing construction drawings, photo-realistic renderings, selecting and specifying finishes, and completing furniture specifications to create beautiful and functional spaces that exceed client expectations. With a firm knowledge of BIM, she can model a project quickly and efficiently which makes her a valuable asset to the team.
Lauren is a recent graduate from the Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design at the University of Arkansas, where she earned her Bachelor of Interior Design with a minor in Hospitality Management. Lauren is a Little Rock, Arkansas native, and is excited to become part of revitalizing her home city through design, community development, and volunteerism. Her focus and drive to complete varying tasks, ability to quickly take on new skills, and graphic design and rendering abilities are valuable assets to our team.
