Near the edge of the MacArthur Park Historic district, The Row at Legion Village mends a gap in the fabric of the district that was long occupied by a surface parking lot. Though used occasionally for parking to support the American Legion Post Building, the lot was very neglected, creating an unsightly void in the neighborhood.

The project brings 36 new one and two-bedrooms apartments to the district at an affordable price point to meet the growing demand for downtown living. The architecture recalls Georgian style townhomes, and features a mixture of traditional brick and siding that compliments the other structures in the district. Flower boxes beneath each tall window add greenery and depth to the building. The interiors are bright, and feature tall ceilings, quartz countertops, and open floor plans. All units contain laundry and substantial closet space. Additional storage closets are available on the site for residents to rent monthly.

Welcoming front stoops engage the pedestrian, and provide a space for additional greenery. These allow the first floor residents to create a small exterior space for themselves with plants and furnishings. Secure parking is located behind the development out of site from the primary street frontage of Rock Street. A pool and grilling area was developed as part of this project, and is located across the street, and shared with a neighboring apartment complex.
